3 Items You Need in Your Kitchen NOW

 Himalayan Salt, Sparkling Water, Limes!

The first item you need to stalk up on for fall: Himalayan Pink Salt. Originating from the Himalayas, Himalayan Pink Salt is the purest sea salt and is one of the best sources of natural minerals in the world. This type of salt is considerably healthier than other processed table salts and can be used in the same way you use your bleached table salt… and so much more! You can put it on all your favorite foods, soak in a nice bath to relax your muscles and detoxify your body, use it to purify the air in your home, lower your blood pressure, improve your digestion, and strengthen your bones. I LOVE my Natural Himalayan Salt Lamp in my bedroom which I found at Walmart! I have switched out all my salts to Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and have noticed that it gives food the same great flavor salt does without all the bloating and water retention! With all these benefits it’s a wonder more people aren’t switching out their salt shakers!

The second item: Sparkling Water. Let me tell you why... While I’m all about moderation there are some things that our bodies are simply not made to consume. I believe soft drinks falls in that category. As a diet coke LOVER I never thought I would eliminate it. However, when I moved from Kansas City to Orange County, CA I noticed that I was (literally) the only one carrying around a diet coke. Some girls who worked with me started to replace my diet coke with sparkling water in my fridge in my office. At first I didn’t like it, but then I realized that sparkling water has the magical “fizz” I craved from the diet coke and all of a sudden I actually had MORE energy, no sugar crashes and felt noticeably healthier. What we put inside our bodies is directly reflected on the outside and, holy cow, consuming only sparkling water all day everyday was reflected in more than the energy I felt. I saw and felt the difference in my whole body: especially my skin. I challenge you to replace one soft drink a day with sparkling water. I now am literally known for my sparkling water addiction and it’s an addiction I’m super proud of! Try La Croix if you want fun summer flavors to keep you hydrated all season long!

The last item on my summer must have grocery list: Limes! I bet you didn't realize the insane benefits of limes. Limes can be used as a staple in your skin care regimen, as a tool to aid digestion and constipation, as a natural hair product to keep away that pesky dandruff, and help you with weight loss by regulating your blood sugar and boosting your metabolism! Combining lime in warm water is a great way to hydrate your body and boost your intake of vital anti-oxidants. The citric acid in limes is a great fat burner and may just be what you’re looking for to kick your summer fitness goals into high gear. If you’re not convinced yet that limes need to be added to your weekly grocery list, there’s more! Key limes are jam packed with vitamin C and not only improve the body’s immune system, but help the body create and maintain collagen. Collagen is the protein found in our hair and skin and can help slow down the aging process and keep you looking younger longer!

Try and find ways this fall to sneak these three items into your weekly grocery list and infuse your favorite recipes and drinks with them to experience tremendous benefits.
