Men! Get Your Booty’s into Yoga! 


Men, did you know that the yoga was originally practiced by YOU? It was practiced by males to increase strength, flexibility, stamina, and quiet the mind. It has become common thought that yoga is just for flexible girls, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Yoga is for anyone who wants to get stronger both physically and mentally and begin accessing their best life. 

See, before western medicine and psychotherapists, people used yoga to heal and better their lives. Yoga taught people how to get to know themselves; it revealed to them their true selves and deepest desires. And guess what, this practice was mainly practiced by men; it was the masculine thing to do. It demonstrated strength to be able to lift and move and levitate the body during handstands and inversions.

  1. Yoga will help you build muscle evenly: yoga is very effective for general conditioning and is an amazing way to supplement regular lifting and training. Because yoga uses the whole body, odds are you will end up toning and stretching muscles you couldn’t focus on with weight machines. No one is saying you have to choose one or the other—they are saying to do both!

  2. Increased flexibility means decreased chance of injury: yoga will teach your body to train and cooperate harmoniously. This means that you will stay healthier while focusing on a weight training program and keep you from hurting yourself or losing progress.

  3. Yoga will help improve stamina and respiratory function: Yoga focuses on the breath and trains the lungs to sustain and use the breath actively. This means that you will be able to have better workouts all around as you will last longer and be able to go farther. Cardiovascular training will improve tremendously if you engage in a regular yoga practice.

  4. Yoga promotes weight loss: Yoga lowers the levels of cortisol in our bodies, which is the stress hormone that prompts our body to collect belly fat. So while you are toning up from the weight resistance movement, you’ll be slimming down faster too!

  5. Yoga leads to better sex: Yoga has been linked to improve all domains of sexual function in men. The concentration and breathing techniques taught help men channel their sexual energy—and even last longer! Yoga helps to improve your sex life by making you more physically fit, improving your circulation, increasing bodily awareness (sensation), and helping you to connect on a deeper level with your partner.
